Seats
Most 3 wheel double buggies start as single pushchairs. Some models can be converted to accommodate a second seat with adapters. Some models allow you to add an extra board to older children who are ready to walk but need some help.
Take a look at the Joie Evalite Duo for a lightweight option perfect for city streets. It's a breeze to move and comes with a large basket that has plenty of storage space. It can accommodate twins as young as birth and accept two car seats or a carrycot and seat. The seats have to face forward and there is no space for bags of groceries under the seat. Mountain Buggy Duet will be a good option for you if you enjoy off-road driving. It's a side-by-side with the slimmest footprint of any double buggy available on the market. The phil&teds dots are great single buggys that can be easily modified to take two (or three!) different configurations. This is especially helpful when you have a child in a car. Suspension
The suspension of a double 3 wheel buggy will determine how easily you and your child/children can push it. A smooth ride is essential as babies can feel every bump on the road, especially when it's on rough terrain such as grass or paths that aren't paved. Some models come with locking front tires to assist in maneuvering and getting over obstacles like curbs.
Some models use air-filled tyres that provide a fantastic all-terrain experience, but they can be prone to punctures so ensure you have a spare set in the trunk. Some models have gel or foam tyres that are designed to withstand bumps and can be less susceptible to punctures, however, you may find them a little stiff and uncomfortable on your child's back if you choose to jog.
